Thurrock SEND Family Forum (TSFF) is a group of parents and carers of children and young people 0 – 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
We are a member of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF) to ensure that our voices are heard at a local, regional and national level. We have a steering group of parent carers who lead this work and listen to the views and experiences of other parents in the local area to make sure they know what is important to them; they are keen to hear from as many parent carers as possible within the Borough.
We are recognised by the Department for Education, Ofsted and CCG as the local source of independent information on the parent carer experience.
We aim to work in a manner of participation and co-production with Thurrock Council (Education, Social Care & Health.) We aim to be your voice and we aim to not only listen, but also to act.
Improve outcomes for SEND children and young adults by supporting co-production in all services.
Develop partnership working with Thurrock Council and health and parent/carers to support and promote SEND needs within the borough, in order to positively influence local support and services.
providing parents and carers with a relaxed and informal meeting place.
